Personally, I would recommend running Feisty Fawn (or anything else) on the Lenovo ‘Thinkpad’ Z61t. Nothing else comes close. Ubuntu will install flawlessly with no bad vibes. The only workaround would be if you had the fingerprint reader option.

Thanks… I wrote a guide on my page of how to set up an SSH server for Windows with Cygwin and the idea was that it would also explain how to run irssi inside screen, but as there is not (yet, certainly there will be if the functionality has gotten to work on dtach) working screen for cygwin then dtach will be a great solution, although even if it allows detaching and later continuing with a program you still have to take several connections or keep detaching and attaching dtach sessions (you can run multiple number of them, right?) to change a program unlike with screen where you can have many many programs inside screen (and even split the screen in two parts to see two programs on one terminal at once (I used that trick to run centericq (IM client) and irssi on one screen….

Anyway, thanks… I use Linux and have, of course, screen, but for my friend who wanted and SSH server and wants to run irssi so that it keeps in the background even if he disconnects, and he will certainly be happy to hear about dtach…

Yep I decided I wanted to go with green for my new desktop color scheme and yours matched the color scheme well. Also That paper fit my new 20″ widescreen HD Monitor the best out of all the ones I tried.
